CROSS' JAPANESE ´BIG MOUNTAIN SKIER IS THE BEST NON-NORTH AMERICAN IN THE ALASKAN FINAL.

Kenjiro Matsuo, Cross japanese freeskier - and also Japan's most well known Big Mountain skier was the best non-north american at the Subaru World Freeski Tourfinals in Alaska. Han took a prestigious 17-place among more that 100 starters.

Kenjiro, who spends a good deal of the season in the USA, is visiting Åre in April in order to meed a few of the Swedish freeskiers before he returns to Japan.

I finished the 08-09season in last month. this is very very nice time for me,vest ever that.
Hokkaido had a little snowy when start of season but sometime we got huge fresh snow at there. I helped Akio Shinya who boss of Niseko Avalanche Institute as last years. this is an enlightenment movement for seafty skiing and riding out of boundary so this is very important action because Niseko is easy to backcountry access from resort and come back resort. I mean there are so many people.
Then I triped north of Hokkaido with tent and friends a week. Local ski resort were awesome,no people, nice landform and quiet. I was photographer at this trip. anyway, I had good ski in Japan to end of Jan.

Feb 3rd, I left Tokyo to go Salt Lake City, USA. Great snow waited for me.
I ski almost everyday in Snowbird and backcountry around the Little Cottonwood Canyon where there is Alt and Snowbird.
There were one competition of Freeskiing World Tour at Snowbird. I tried from qualifier then went to superfinal. I finished 17th of 150 peoples. I choose the line which no body ski this comp so the spectators cheered it very much for me.you can watch the comp's movie...
