10 items you need in your golf bag

Some of us carry way more than what we really need and others sometimes dont bring enough of what they need. We are of course referring to the golf bag. Wether you are playing a quick nine holes or the full eighteen it is always better and less stressful to be prepared and bring the right essentials.

Keep reading and we will list 10 items that we most definetly bring with us (in no particular order of importance).

1. Golf Balls

Ok, so this is a no-brainer (we know) but we still need to include it. Without golf balls you wont be able to play and it is important that you bring enough golf balls to the course. You do not want to be stranded if disaster strikes and you need a new ball. We also suggest that you bring both new golf balls and "old" ones in your bag. Remember, different balls play differently depending on model, age and maker.

2. An extra glove

A majority of golfers plays with a glove and therefore, an extra glove is always a good idea to keep in your bag. A good grip is key when playing and a golf glove will most definetly add a better grip. Without a glove the club can easily turn while you are making a swing.

First of all, the obvious, your glove might rip, tear or get wet because of rainy weather. Second of all, it might be a good idea to bring an extra pair of gloves to use for practice.

3. Rain gear (& an umbrella)

Playing a round of golf soaking wet is, well, not something that is on the top of our list. Playing during light or heavy rain with a good set of rain gear that will keep you dry, that is something completely different. Rain should never be an excuse, and that is why we always bring (or wear from the start) rain gear. If you are missing or need to upgrade your rain gear, we recommend our series Hurricane. It is extremely lightweight and very packable. Perfect to always keep in your bag!

4. A towel

A towel is something you will see in most golfer's bag. It is a great multi-tool that will ensure that your equipment is clean and ready to go! From wiping down dirty golf clubs to getting extra moisture and sweat off your grip a towel will always come in handy.

5. First aid kit

Number five on our list is something we will never leave without. A first aid kit. You never know what will happen, and if disaster strikes it is important to at least have a basic first aid kit in your golf bag. A well-stocked kit can help with the most common injuries and emergencies. Wanna know what we keep in our first aid kit (the bare essentials)? See list below:

  • Plasters (in different sizes)
  • Bandages
  • A pair of tweezers
  • Sterile gauze dressings
  • Pain killers
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol-free cleansing wipes
  • Eye wash and eye bath
  • Antihistamine cream or tablets
6. Sunblock

The sun is no joke, and whether you are staying in the shade wearing a cap or cruising around in a golf cart sun protection is still very important and is something you should always put in your bag (and apply before heading out to the course). We suggest that you use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Also, don't forget to reapply every other hour or so.

7. Extra tees

It is always a good idea to bring a few extra tees in you bag. You never know when you might lose one. Simple as that.

8. Water

H2O - The way to go! We know, this one might also be a no-brainer, but despite that, we are still going to include it. It is essential to bring a bottle of water. Preferably one that is durable, if you don't have one, check out the one we have in our range. A round of golf can take a couple of hours and it is important to always stay hydrated.

9. Ball markers

We suggest that you keep a couple of ball markers in your bag. They are lightweight, don't take up a lot of space and often come in handy.

10. Socks

Ok, so we are almost at the end of this list. One more thing to go and we are done. The final item on our list is a pair of extra socks. We have played one too many rounds where our water proof shoes have been not so water proof and when this happens on the second hole, you will be happy that you packed that extra pair.

Don't forget, these are our golf bag essentials and they might differ from yours. What do you keep in your golf bag?
